The WHEI World Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship created and promoted by War Hawks Entertainment Inc. for the Raw brand. It was one of three world titles for WHEI's brands, alongside the WHEI WWE Championship on the SmackDown brand and the LWL World Heavyweight Championship on the LWL brand. The last champion was Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Championship was retired after Season 1.

After deciding to reinstate previously retired championships for the Raw and SmackDown brands for their reinstated brand split it was announced Juggernaut would be bringing back the big gold belt to be the world championship for his brand.

History[]

Origin[]

Juggernaut originally reintroduced the then retired World Heavyweight Championship to be the world championship for the Raw brand in their universe mode as they were still using the brand split. The championship was brought back on December 22, 2015, and awarded to Booker T to give the title a credible first champion upon its return.

Creation[]

With nearly 400 wrestlers in the game including created wrestlers (mostly based on themselves and other members of the War Hawks) Ironman, Juggernaut, and Sherania agreed to use the brand split rather than unified roster to give all wrestlers the chance to shine. To further this, the World Heavyweight Championship was reinstated, having been retired in real life in late 2013. The championship was awarded to Booker T, and he spent the majority of the season 1 feuding over it with Stone Cold Steve Austin, who he eventually lost it to.

Retirement[]

Following season 1 with the reintroduction of the brand split in real life, the championship was quietly retired for good in favor of the Universal Championship.

Championship belt design[]

The championship bears the same design as the real life Big Gold Belt that was used for the NWA/WCW/WWE World Heavyweight Championship throughout the years. The centerpalte is made to look like a crown with rubies at various points around the plate. With the WWE logo at the top and "World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion" in the middle with a globe under it and two crowns on either side.

The sideplates are rectangular, with two wrestlers grappling in the middle and four rubies at each corner of the plate.
